Trent Mitchell

Provisional Psychologist

Trent Mitchell is a provisional psychologist in the final stages of his Master of Clinical Psychology training. He is passionate about delivering accessible, evidence-based support to individuals experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and difficulties with motivation or life transitions. He has a strong background working within community mental health, supporting young people and adults to build resilience, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

His therapeutic approach is collaborative, client-centred, and grounded in current research. He draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed practices to tailor treatment to each client’s strengths, needs, and goals. He strives to create a warm and supportive environment where people feel respected, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

Before entering psychology, he worked in law-enforcement and crisis-response roles, which shaped his strong interest in mental health, trauma recovery, and practical coping strategies for people facing high-pressure situations. He is particularly committed to improving mental health support for men and those who may be hesitant to seek help.

Whether you are looking to explore current challenges or build new skills to support long-term wellbeing, he here to work alongside you every step of the way.
