Tahra Edwards
Counsellor
Tahra is an ACA Registered Level 3 Counsellor with a decade of experience working in community mental health, supporting individuals and families through complex life challenges. She provides a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and create meaningful change.
Tahra supports people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, caring responsibilities, and life transitions. She understands that reaching out for support can feel daunting and values building a trusting therapeutic relationship.
Her approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and tailored to each individual's goals and strengths. She draws on evidence-based therapies and strategies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based practice, mindfulness, and emotional regulation techniques.
Tahra is experienced in supporting people through grief and loss and provides relationship counselling informed by the Gottman Method, helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges with greater understanding and connection.
