Iryna Chiciak

Registered Psychologist

Iryna is a Registered Psychologist with more than 20 years’ experience working across community mental health, private practice and complex clinical settings. She has supported children, young people and adults experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, difficulties with emotion regulation, eating disorders and periods of significant life stress.

Iryna believes therapy should be a place where you can be understood without judgement, while also having the practical support to make meaningful changes. She takes a collaborative and individualised approach, working with each person to understand what is happening, identify what is keeping them stuck and develop strategies that fit their life.

Her experience includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with particular experience supporting adults and young people through periods of significant change, distress and uncertainty. She also has experience in mental health assessment, risk assessment and acute community-based care, as well as working with eating disorders using CBT-E.

Iryna brings a calm, grounded and compassionate presence to her work. She recognises that asking for help is not a sign that something is wrong with you — it can be the point where you decide that things can be different.
