Baylie Canavan
Provisional Psychologist
Baylie is a Provisional Psychologist who supports individuals across the lifespan in building mental health, wellbeing, and resilience. She brings warmth, curiosity, and empathy to her work, and has over eight years of experience across community, educational, and clinical settings supporting people with a range of psychological, developmental, and cognitive needs.
Baylie has a particular interest in trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice. She is passionate about helping people to better understand themselves, make sense of their experiences, and live a life that feels authentic and meaningful.
She focuses on creating a safe, collaborative, and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make choices that align with who they truly are. Baylie works alongside each individual to navigate challenges, build insight, and strengthen resilience in ways that reflect personal goals and values.
Her approach is informed by evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), drawing from trauma-informed and psychodynamic-informed perspectives. She tailors her work to each individuals unique strengths, needs, and preferences, all under reflective supervision.
